Virtual Fashion Letter: What’s The Ball Park Cost For a Consult and Styling?

First and foremost this is a really good question —- and it’s definitely one that needs to be broken down.

Some fashion stylists offer free style consultations and others charge for their consultations. Obviously free consultations are free, but paid consultations typically fall into the $25 - $75 price range and can vary in length.

On the other hand, a styling service is priced a bit differently. The cost of a styling service typically varies by state, the professionals level of experience, and the value given to the client. In addition to that, stylists usually charge hourly or have a preset package for their clients. This means that you can expect to pay between $20 - $175 for an hourly rate and $150+ for a preset package (keep in mind that these are average price points. There are some hourly and preset packages that are much higher than the numbers mentioned in this article). It also might be helpful to know that some stylists require hourly minimums. This means that you’ll have to book a minimum amount of hours with them in order to receive a styling service.
